My Mac Wont Let Me Download Software
I’m unable to download any new apps or put data onto my computer from my iPhone; because iTunes isn’t up to date. I’ve even tried going to the apple site & downloading it that way, but it just doesn’t give me the option to download the latest software. I currently have Software OS X Version 10.8.5. Please help 😩 I’m dying here. Your Mac may be experiencing a problem that Apple specifically releases a software update for. Your Mac may even be experiencing a problem not quite the same as the update describes but it can still fix it anyway. Either way, an up to date Mac not only is a good quick fix but it also eliminates old software from your troubleshooting steps. Step 2: Change the setting, enable your Mac can download from 'Anywhere'. If you have upgraded your Mac to macOS 10.12 Sierra or higher, you just click 'Open Anyway', like this: Step 3: Re-download the software or re-open the download file on your Mac.
Any ideas as to what might be the cause?
Thanks

Download the software as you normally would from the Internet. If asked if you want to 'keep' or 'discard' the file, select keep. Note that you should only do this if you are certain you trust the publisher of the software. Apple’s software is not immune to problems. They may not be as big or as frequent as those experienced by users on other platforms but they exist nevertheless. If you’re trying to update or install apps but the update refuses to start or you have stuck downloads in the Mac App Store, then try the following fixes.
